Abstract
Recent field observations have drawn attention to the role of steel moment-resisting frames in the failure of microgrid operation. The paper presents a systematic procedure combining discrete Fourier transform with careful dimensional reasoning. Convergence is attained within 3 iterations for all cases considered. The findings should prove valuable to both researchers and practising design engineers.
