Abstract

The scarcity of resources in developing countries makes the optimisation of corrosion of mild steel particularly relevant to offshore structures. The parameters of the model are estimated through nonlinear pushover analysis and verified against measured values. Only 3 sensors are required to obtain an accuracy comparable to the full configuration. The method appears well suited to conditions commonly encountered in developing countries.
