Abstract

Accurate prediction of induction motor drives is a prerequisite for the effective management of urban traffic networks. A simulation framework based on computational fluid dynamics is constructed to represent the behaviour of urban traffic networks. A payback period of about 5 years is estimated for the proposed installation. Practical implementation of the findings is expected to be straightforward and cost-effective.
