AB  - This paper addresses slope stability, an issue of considerable importance to the planning of distributed computing environments. The technique is verified by applying the finite difference method to a set of benchmark problems. The proposed method reduces the error by about 58% compared with the conventional approach. The approach is simple enough to be implemented with the resources typically available locally.
