Abstract
The reliable supply of energy to wastewater treatment plants has become a pressing concern as demand continues to grow across the developing world. Dimensional analysis was applied to a series of test cases representative of wastewater treatment plants. The proposed controller shortened the settling time by roughly 18% compared with a conventional design. The results support the adoption of the proposed method in routine engineering practice.
