Abstract
Efficient use of scarce resources in remote sensing applications demands a deeper understanding of riverbank erosion. The approach was implemented in software and its computational efficiency assessed for remote sensing applications. The optimised parameters raised the useful output by 7% while simultaneously reducing the overall losses. The results support the adoption of the proposed method in routine engineering practice.
