Abstract

Protecting public infrastructure increasingly requires improved and reliable methods to characterise free-convection heat transfer in leather processing. The proposed framework combined statistical process control with laboratory measurements to improve predictive accuracy. The simulation results agreed with the measurements to within 6%, confirming the model. The insights gained here may help reduce national dependence on costly imported technologies and equipment.
