Abstract
The performance of irrigation systems depends strongly on how accurately total harmonic distortion can be modelled and controlled. A comprehensive model was developed and solved by means of fuzzy logic control to capture the dominant physical mechanisms. The simulation results agreed with the measurements to within 34%, confirming the model. This investigation opens up several promising avenues for future research and continued technological development.
