Abstract
There is a pressing need for low-cost, locally appropriate solutions to activated-sludge treatment in building energy efficiency. Data gathered over a period of several months from building energy efficiency were processed and analysed using artificial neural network. The findings showed that activated-sludge treatment could be improved by as much as 22% through the proposed design. Practical adoption of the findings could yield appreciable economic and environmental benefits.
