Modelling Free-Convection Heat Transfer with Multiple Regression Analysis
Abstract
Failures related to free-convection heat transfer can cause serious economic and safety consequences in telecommunication networks. The experimental rig was instrumented to supply the inputs required by multiple regression analysis. The simulation results agreed with the measurements to within 40%, confirming the model. These findings provide useful guidance for engineers seeking cost-effective and reliable designs.
