Abstract
Climate variability has introduced new challenges for the management of fatigue crack propagation in coastal protection works. Field surveys of coastal protection works provided the dataset to which Monte Carlo simulation was subsequently applied. The proposed method cut computation time by about 15% while preserving accuracy. This work adds to the growing body of knowledge on sustainable engineering practice.
