Abstract
A sound understanding of aluminium matrix composites is essential for improving safety and performance in automotive engineering. Samples collected from automotive engineering were characterised by standard laboratory procedures together with statistical process control. The analysis revealed that aluminium matrix composites depended mainly on 8 key parameters. The results establish a benchmark against which future improvements can be measured.
