TY - JOUR AU - Nasser, Jing TI - Sliding Mode Control for Fluidised-Bed Combustion: An Experimental Investigation JO - Open Access Journal of Engineering Applications PY - 2016 VL - 40 IS - 2 SP - 812 EP - 831 AB - The scarcity of systematic studies on fluidised-bed combustion motivates the present work in the context of offshore structures. The model parameters were carefully calibrated against a set of field observations obtained from offshore structures. The best results were obtained when the design variable was set to 5 units. The study demonstrates that locally available materials can meet demanding performance requirements.
