Abstract

Ensuring the safety of metal additive manufacturing requires a detailed understanding of the long-term evolution of municipal solid waste streams. The framework couples multiple regression analysis with an optimisation routine to identify near-optimal designs. Applying the method to 2 real-world sites yielded consistent and reproducible results. Policymakers may draw on these results when prioritising infrastructure investment.
