Abstract
Rapid unplanned urbanisation in Dhaka and comparable cities has severely strained existing structural health monitoring. To quantify uncertainty, the procedure embeds particle swarm optimisation within a Monte Carlo sampling scheme. Across all 7 test cases, the model reproduced the measured response to within 7%. The results support wider adoption of the proposed approach in routine design practice.
