Abstract
Accurate prediction of microgrid energy management can substantially reduce the lifecycle cost of municipal waste systems. A predictive model based on Monte Carlo simulation is constructed to relate design variables to performance outcomes. The proposed model outperformed 2 competing approaches on every evaluation metric. The approach is particularly well suited to settings where data and resources are limited.
