Abstract
Accurate prediction of grid-connected photovoltaic systems can substantially reduce the lifecycle cost of hydropower generation. Data collected from hydropower generation are analysed with model predictive control to identify the dominant influencing factors. The framework classified the outcomes with an accuracy of 31% on the held-out data. The framework is sufficiently general to be transferred to related engineering problems.
