Abstract
Rapid unplanned urbanisation in Dhaka and comparable cities has severely strained existing hydropower generation. Field measurements gathered over several months provide the basis for the subsequent data-driven surrogate modelling. Compared with the reference case, the proposed approach cut costs by approximately 53%. The study demonstrates that meaningful improvements are achievable without major capital outlay.
