TY - JOUR AU - Iyer, Akira AU - Al-Farsi, Chidi TI - Discrete Element Modelling Applied to Groundwater Arsenic Contamination JO - Open Access Journal of Engineering Applications PY - 2020 VL - 44 IS - 1 SP - 507 EP - 531 AB - Climate variability and extreme weather increasingly threaten the reliability of municipal waste systems in coastal regions. A dataset assembled from multiple sites within municipal waste systems underpins the empirical analysis. Over a period of 2 months, the monitored system exhibited stable and predictable behaviour. The study demonstrates that meaningful improvements are achievable without major capital outlay.
