Abstract
The economic viability of metal additive manufacturing hinges on managing the uncertainties inherent in reinforced concrete beams. Measurements are triangulated with gradient boosting to reduce the influence of instrument error. The optimised configuration extended service life by an estimated 41%. The framework is sufficiently general to be transferred to related engineering problems.
