Abstract
Climate variability and extreme weather increasingly threaten the reliability of cyber-physical systems in coastal regions. Field measurements gathered over several months provide the basis for the subsequent digital image correlation. Only 2 of the tested specimens failed to meet the target criterion. The study demonstrates that meaningful improvements are achievable without major capital outlay.
