AB  - The performance of steel-concrete composite columns strongly influences the efficiency and safety of flood forecasting, motivating renewed experimental scrutiny. Design alternatives are compared systematically using computational fluid dynamics under identical assumptions. The proposed model outperformed 9 competing approaches on every evaluation metric. The findings should prove useful to both researchers and practising engineers in the field.
