Abstract
Meeting national sustainability goals requires a deeper understanding of membrane distillation within steel rolling mills. A test rig replicating conditions in steel rolling mills was instrumented and monitored throughout the campaign. Only 5 of the candidate configurations satisfied every performance requirement. Wider deployment will require attention to standardization, training, and quality control.
