Abstract
Field observations from offshore wind farms frequently reveal performance losses that existing models of turbocharger compressor surge fail to explain. Sensitivity to key assumptions was examined through a series of controlled numerical experiments. The results reveal a strongly nonlinear relationship between the control variables and turbocharger compressor surge. The framework can inform both new construction and the retrofitting of existing assets.
