Abstract

Balancing performance, cost, and safety in flood-prone deltas depends on resolving open questions about rainfall-runoff modeling. The analysis relies on wavelet transform analysis calibrated with data specific to flood-prone deltas. The model explained more than 31% of the observed variance in rainfall-runoff modeling. The findings encourage closer collaboration between researchers, operators, and regulators.
