Abstract

Design offices concerned with deltaic floodplains lack simple yet reliable means of estimating municipal wastewater treatment. A step-by-step procedure founded on relaxation analysis is set out for the practising engineer. The efficiency of the system is improved by some 12% under the recommended conditions. The approach may be expected to find application in a variety of related problems.
