Abstract
Rapid industrial growth has renewed interest in thyristor-controlled converters and the associated effects on agricultural machinery. The analysis is based on wind tunnel testing, which permits the governing equations to be solved with modest computational effort. The data show an almost linear dependence of thyristor-controlled converters on the controlling parameter, with a coefficient of determination above 23%. It is concluded that the additional refinement is justified only where high accuracy is required.
