Abstract

Uncertainties in the treatment of centrifugal pump performance continue to limit confidence in the design of jute processing mills. A mathematical model is developed and solved by means of boundary element analysis. The analysis reveals 5 distinct regimes of behaviour, each associated with a characteristic form of centrifugal pump performance. The present study should serve as a starting point for more comprehensive investigations.
