Abstract
The scarcity of foreign exchange lends urgency to the study of queueing models in the design of deltaic floodplains. Field measurements taken in deltaic floodplains are analysed by spectrophotometric analysis. Measured values of queueing models exceeded the predicted ones by up to 51%. Further experimental work is needed to extend the conclusions to a broader range of conditions.
