Abstract

The scarcity of foreign exchange lends urgency to the study of power system stability in the design of cement production plants. Here boundary element analysis is employed to relate the observed behaviour to the controlling parameters. The results show that power system stability can be predicted to within about 10% of the measured values. The work points to several directions in which further research would be profitable.
