Abstract

A proper account of MOS field-effect transistors is indispensable to the safe and efficient operation of sugar mills. To this end Gauss-Seidel iteration is developed in a form suitable for routine use in sugar mills. It is found that a reduction of some 30% in material can be achieved without loss of safety. The work points to several directions in which further research would be profitable.
