Abstract

Reliable prediction of centrifugal pump performance is essential for the economical design of jute processing mills in tropical regions. The nonlinear equations arising in jute processing mills are treated iteratively by transfer function analysis. The proposed method reduces the computational effort by roughly 12% compared with conventional analysis. The analysis provides a firmer basis for decisions that have hitherto rested largely on judgement.
