Abstract
Engineers responsible for food processing industries frequently encounter problems whose solution requires a close study of transmission line transients. The design charts presented here were prepared using variational analysis. The design charts reproduce the exact solution to within 9% over the range of practical interest. The findings should prove useful to engineers engaged in the design of similar structures.
