Analysis of Catalytic Cracking of Hydrocarbons using Z-Transform Analysis

Abstract

Design offices concerned with developing economies lack simple yet reliable means of estimating catalytic cracking of hydrocarbons. The design charts presented here were prepared using z-transform analysis. For the cases considered, the error introduced by the simplifying assumptions did not exceed 58%. It is suggested that the technique be adopted as a standard tool in preliminary design.
