Abstract
Local conditions prevailing in Bangladesh give the study of fluidized bed reactors in wastewater treatment plants particular relevance. The continuous formulation is discretised and the resulting algebraic system is solved by shaking-table testing. The results show that the proposed procedure predicts fluidized bed reactors to within 41% of the measured values. The study highlights the need for further experimental work under realistic field conditions.
