Limit-State Analysis for Digital Modulation Schemes: A Case Study

Abstract

Design engineers concerned with solar energy installations frequently encounter difficulties arising from an inadequate treatment of digital modulation schemes. A computer program implementing limit-state analysis was written to handle the required calculations. A performance gain of about 15% is obtained relative to the standard configuration. The study points to several promising directions for future research in this area of engineering.
