Abstract

Considerable uncertainty surrounds the prediction of internal combustion engine performance in the context of consumer electronics. The proposed model is calibrated against an extensive set of data collected from consumer electronics. A performance gain of about 50% is obtained relative to the standard configuration. It is concluded that the simplified approach is adequate for most routine design purposes.
