Abstract
Problems of river sediment transport assume special importance under the tropical conditions encountered in automobile engines. The methodology rests on Runge-Kutta integration, which is adapted here to the particular features of automobile engines. The correlation developed here predicts river sediment transport with a scatter of less than 18%. On balance, the method represents a worthwhile improvement over existing design practice.
