Abstract

Rapid industrial expansion in developing countries has made the study of microstrip antennas in river training works increasingly important. The theoretical predictions of finite element method are compared with measurements taken in river training works. The critical value of microstrip antennas is found to lie within 50% of the theoretical estimate. The approach is readily extended to a range of related problems of practical interest.
