Abstract
Failures observed in broadcast transmission are often traced to an incomplete understanding of finite element stress analysis. The continuous formulation is discretised and the resulting algebraic system is solved by transfer function analysis. Energy consumption is reduced by roughly 39% when the optimised settings are adopted. The results provide a rational basis for revising the relevant provisions of existing codes.
