Abstract
Efficient management of natural gas pipelines calls for improved methods of assessing transmission line performance. A digital computer program is written to carry out the digital signal processing for arbitrary geometries. A throughput improvement of 42% is obtained without any additional capital expenditure being required. Further experimental work is recommended to extend the conclusions to a wider range of conditions.
