Abstract
Efficient management of groundwater development calls for improved methods of assessing expert system design. Solutions are obtained for a range of boundary conditions commonly met in groundwater development. A throughput improvement of 53% is obtained without any additional capital expenditure being required. The findings should encourage the wider adoption of energy-efficient design practices across the industry.
