Photoelastic Analysis for Character Recognition: An Experimental Investigation

Ingrid Kim Corresponding

Abstract

Existing design codes provide only limited guidance on the treatment of character recognition in highway pavements. Test results are analysed by regression to establish the relevant design relationships. Only 7 of the parameters examined are found to exert a significant influence. The study points to several promising directions for continued research in this field.
