Abstract

The absence of standardised procedures for protective relaying continues to trouble practitioners in telecommunication systems. The analysis is performed by means of Monte Carlo simulation, with all governing equations solved to convergence. The scheme converges within 3 iterations for all cases of practical interest. The findings should encourage the wider adoption of energy-efficient design practices across the industry.
