Abstract
Rising energy costs have renewed interest in the efficient utilisation of reinforced concrete beams within steel rolling mills. Both analytical and experimental techniques are employed to examine the behaviour observed in steel rolling mills. The results establish that reinforced concrete beams can be predicted with acceptable engineering accuracy. The study points to several promising directions for continued research in this field.
