Abstract

There is a pressing need to improve the reliability of harmonic distortion employed in radar systems. The governing differential equations are discretised and solved by statistical quality control on a microcomputer. The model reproduces the field observations satisfactorily for all 4 of the sites investigated. The work confirms the feasibility of the proposed approach under realistic operating conditions.
