Abstract

Existing design codes provide only limited guidance on the treatment of solar photovoltaic cells in medical instrumentation. The analysis is performed by means of boundary element analysis, with all governing equations solved to convergence. The results indicate that solar photovoltaic cells can be improved by nearly 45% relative to conventional practice. The results should prove useful in the preparation of local design guidelines.
