Abstract
The reliable performance of reinforced brick masonry remains a central concern in the development of telecommunication systems throughout the region. Data collected from several installations in telecommunication systems form the basis of the empirical correlations presented. The measured values exceed the design estimates by roughly 15% under adverse conditions. These conclusions may assist in the formulation of more realistic design codes for the region.
