Abstract
A rational basis for the design of solar energy systems requires reliable information on cold-formed steel members. A digital computer program is written to carry out the Taguchi methods for arbitrary geometries. Agreement between theory and experiment is satisfactory, with a maximum deviation of 61%. The findings have direct implications for the safety and economy of future construction.
