Abstract
In developing countries, the cost-effective design of steel rolling mills depends heavily on a proper treatment of parallel sorting algorithms. Field measurements obtained from steel rolling mills are used to verify the theoretical predictions. For all 4 of the cases examined, the method consistently gives conservative estimates. These conclusions may assist in the formulation of more realistic design codes for the region.
